When trying to add resources from a network location or another location on local computer to KeyShot you can follow the instructions below for your specific OS.



Adding resources to Windows

1. Launch KeyShot go to Edit > Preferences > Folders and select Customize each Folder.
2. Go to Resource you want to add to. Click on the Folder Icon > Configure Folders window will pop up.
3. Click Add. (plus sign) The Add folder window will pop up
4. Click the Folder Icon, browse to the desired sub-folder for the relevant resources and click Open.
     4.1. Note: KeyShot sub-folders can be found in Users > User Name > Documents > KeyShot folder. (Installed just for me.)
     4.2. Note: KeyShot sub-folders can be found in Users > Public > Public Documents > KeyShot folder. (Installed for everyone.)
5. Click Ok twice. Then, click Save Changes.
6. You will now be able to find your sub-folders inside the KeyShot Library window.




Adding Resources on Mac

1. Launch KeyShot go to KeyShot > Preferences > Folders and select Customize each Folder.
2. Go to Resource you want to add to. Click on the Folder Icon > Configure Folders window will pop up.
3. Click Add. (plus sign) The Add folder window will pop up
4. Click the Folder Icon, browse to the desired sub-folder for the relevant resources and click Open.
     4.1. Note: KeyShot sub-folders can be found in Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > KeyShot.
5. Click Ok twice. Then, click Save Changes.
6. You will now be able to find your sub-folders inside the KeyShot Library window.



Additional Resources

Resources added from https://www.keyshot.com/resources/downloads/assets/ can be found in the corresponding folders.


For example, using the default folder locations, Textures from Poliigon would be added to the C:\Users\Documents\KeyShot\Colors folder on a Windows machine.


On a MacOS, they can be found at Library/Application Support/KeyShot/Textures.
