Environment Details

  • KeyShot 10.2
  • macOS Sonoma 14.4.1
  • any CAD software but usually SolidWorks or Creo

Cause

  • The upgrade to Sonoma 14.4.1 appears to have caused a bug which caused the import to throw this error.

Resolution/Workaround

This has been confirmed as a known bug which affects users on KeyShot 10.2 and Sonoma 14.4. Unfortunately, since this is an older version of KeyShot, the developers do not expect to resolve this issue as it does not occur in our newest version, KeyShot 2024.1.

Users have the following options:

1. You can upgrade to our newest version, KeyShot 2024.1. Please reach out to sales@keyshot.com to get more information on how you can upgrade.
2. You can downgrade your macOS to an older version other than Sonoma
3. You may want to try converting your files to a different format such as .stl files, which appear to work still.

Please feel free to open a ticket on our support portal at help.keyshot.com if you have any further questions.
