Keyshot 10.1.82 GPU XR Renderings

Hi!

When i want to start an XR rendering in GPU mode with my 2060 Super with about 1000 frames, there is weird stuff happening. When i start to render it in 3000x1500, the render window stays black and keyshot doesnt get over one sample. When i lower the resolution i got to round about 40 frames untill the same freeze occures. There is no error or stuff from keyshot. When i try to close the window afterwards, the cleanup dialog also just doesnt go away.


Maybe there is a solution, doesnt looks like the GPU is eating the RAM but i still didnt found a workaround.

Thank you for contacting Luxion Denmark Support.

What is the 'cleanup dialog' you see?
Did you make any changes to any cameras while the KeyShotXR render dialog was open?

Lets start with the basics and make sure your GPU drivers are updated.
We recommend driver version 456.55 and up. We can not recommend drivers of version 450.xx and below as there are known issues in KeyShot with those drivers.

You can also try deleting your Settings.xml file to clear any cached information that might be causing this issue.
 
Windows Instructions:
1. Go to either one of the destinations below:
  • C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\KeyShot #
  • C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\KeyShot # 
2. Look for KS#Settings.xml file and delete that file
3. Relaunch KeyShot. DO NOT migrate any settings from older versions of KeyShot if it asks again.
 
If all else fails, a fresh installation may help.
To perform a fresh install:
  1. Uninstall KeyShot
  2. Make sure to delete the KeyShot  resources folder
    • note: move it to the desktop if you wish to back up your resources
    • Windows Default:
      • C:\Users\UserName\Documents\KeyShot or
      • C:\Users\Public\Documents\KeyShot
      • Delete C:\ProgramData\Luxion\KeyShot folder
      • Delete C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Luxion\KeyShot folder
    • Mac Default:
      • /Library/Application Support/KeyShot
  3. Download and Re-install KeyShot using the links below.
    For this step, you’ll need the full installer(not the update installer).
    • You can find the newest version of KeyShot here.
    • You can find older versions of KeyShot here.
  4. Go through the registration wizard, enter your license information, and KeyShot should be up and running.

If none of the above works, please provide me with your KeyShot Crashpad Dumps and DxDiag file.
 
Where to find the CrashDumps on Windows
  1. Open your Windows Explorer file browser
  2. Copy and paste to File Explorer C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Luxion\
  3. Locate the 'Crashpad' folder.
  4. Right-click the Reports folder and select Send To > Compressed. This will create a zip file containing all crash dump logs.

How to create a DxDiag log
  1. Press the Windows Key + R
  2. Enter "DxDiag" and run the command
  3. Press 'Save all information' and save the file in an easy to find location
