Endless loop "Finalizing" Render

When render is finished and I click the green check mark the "Finalizing" status bar repeats in an endless loop and have to force quit Keyshot. This also sometimes happens if I click the red X to stop a render.

Thanks for the update Paul.
So to confirm, this happens randomly.
Is your computer and/or KeyShot running for a while before you start to have this issue?
Are there any CPU heavy programs running besides KeyShot when you try to render?
Lastly if your CPU usage is at 100%, can you turn it down to 75% and see if that makes a difference?

I doubt it will have any information, but if you could provide me with your KeyShot Crashpad file, maybe some information has been saved.

Where to find the CrashDumps on Mac
  1. ~/Library/Application Support/Luxion/Crashpad
  2. Right-click the Reports folder and select Send To > Compressed. This will create a zip file containing all crash dump logs.

Reply to this email and make sure to include the files as an attachment.

I have the same issue.  After taking over a week to render 8 secs of video, I was able to click the green check mark only to have a looping "setup" progress bar.  left for a day before finally force quitting.  Was my first attempt to render an 8 second clip and lost 2 weeks time.  VERY frustrated and disappointed.

Hello Rob,

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having issues with this.

To better assist you, I’ll need to gather additional information. Please provide:

  1. Computer make and Specs:
    • Manufacturer (Dell, Toshiba, HP, etc..)
    • Windows/Mac OS version
    • Graphics Card model
    • Processor model
  2. Exact KeyShot Version (e.g. 8.1.80)

If there are any pending updates on either your Mac or KeyShot, please update the the latest versions and let me know if you are still having problems.

Hello,

More often than not, this issue is caused by saves taking too long to actually write to disk, particularly when rendering to 32 bit .psd files.

It has been solved in the KeyShot 10.1 release.

Unfortunately there is no work-around for this issue except maybe to render to smaller file formats, such as 16 bit psd, png, etc.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
