PSD Screenshot gives program error in Photoshop

When saving a screenshot in PSD format, the resulting file cannot be opened in Photoshop. It gives a "Could not open "FILE" because of a program error.

I'm using KeyShot 9.0, and replicated the issue on both Mac OS 10.15.3 & Windows 10. Any screenshot (regardless of what's visible) gives unusable files.

No extra steps needed other than simply trying to save a PSD screenshot (with our without transparency).

Hi Richard,

Thank you for reporting this bug to us.

I will make sure to pass it along to the developers.

A few things you can do as a work around is to save the image as a different image file (png, jpg etc)
I found this give no errors.

Also you can try to render the image out instead of a screen grab as a psd and import the image in to PhotoShop, I also found no issues importing the PSD this way.
